Ocean City Jazz Festival Kickoff

The Ocean City Jazz Festival kicked off last night with the 75th Anniversary Celebration of the Ocean City Beach Community! The program started with Mr. Kenneth Chestnut welcoming everyone and Rolonda Watts as Emcee for the evening. Government officials presented various proclamations to celebrate a remarkable milestone-the 75th anniversary of the founding of the Ocean City Beach Community. The evening included the reading of a commemorative poem by Jaki Shelton Green, North Carolina’s Poet Laureate. The performances from James “PJ” Spraggins and Phylicia Rae were AMAZING!
