Board of Adjustment

About the Board

The Board of Adjustment holds quasi-judicial public hearings to determine requests made by property owners in the Town of North Topsail Beach for variances and appeals of administrative interpretations or decisions as authorized by state law and local ordinance. The Board is comprised of 5 members and 4 alternates appointed by the Town of North Topsail Beach Board of Aldermen.

Membership Requirements

The Board consists of 5 members and 4 alternates. All must reside within the corporate Town limits. Board members must be willing to set aside 1 day a month to serve. Members serve without compensation. Applications for appointment can be filled out and submitted online by clicking here.

Meetings

Board meetings are held as required at the Town Hall located at 2008 Loggerhead Ct., North Topsail Beach. Meetings are live streamed via YouTube and the recordings are posted to the Town’s website at www.northtopsailbeachnc.gov/meetings shortly after the meetings for viewing.
