Sealed bids will be received by the Town of North Topsail Beach, at Town Hall, 2008 Loggerhead Court, North Topsail Beach, North Carolina 28460, by Alice Derian, until Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at 2 PM, and immediately thereafter publicly opened and read for the furnishing of labor, material and equipment entering into the construction of:

NORTH TOPSAIL BEACH FIRE STATION #2

A Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting and Site Visit will be held at the Town of North Topsail Beach, Town Hall, 2008 Loggerhead Court, North Topsail Beach, North Carolina 28460, on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at 2 PM. The meeting will address project scope, bidding procedures, bid forms, MBE Goals, specific questions, and include a tour of the site.

Complete digital plans and specifications for this project may be obtained, at no cost, from Becker Morgan Group, by e-mailing contact information to Kim Wilson (kwilson@beckermorgan.com) during normal office hours.

Each proposal shall be accompanied by a bid bond of five percent (5%) of the bid executed by a surety company licensed under the laws of North Carolina to execute the contract in accordance with the bid bond. Said deposit shall be retained by the owner as liquidated damages in event of failure of the successful bidder to execute the contract within ten days after the award or to give satisfactory surety as required by law.

Single Prime bids will be received from contractors licensed per North Carolina G.S.87. The Town of North Topsail Beach encourages participation by HUB firms and supports efforts to ensure and promote opportunities for MBE. Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) guidelines must be followed.

The Town of North Topsail Beach reserves the unqualified right to reject any and all proposals and waive any informalities.
