Phase 5 Beach Nourishment Project Complete

The Phase 5 beach nourishment project is complete. The hauling/fill was completed on May 15th and equipment was demobilized from the beach on May 16th and May 17th. As soon as the final two pieces of equipment are removed from the Gray Street beach access, the Gray Street beach access will re-open. Thank you for your patience throughout this project. We placed approximately 636,000 Cubic Yards of sand along 18,500 feet of shoreline.

FEMA Phase 5 Truck-Hauled Sand Project

The FEMA NTB Phase 5 Cat. G truck-hauled sand project commenced on Monday, February 28th, 2022. The contractor, S.T. Wooten Corporation, is utilizing the Gray Street Beach Access and began working to the north from Gray Street.
