30-year beach plan progressing

Please be advised that our Engineer who has been engaged to work on the Town’s 30-year beach plan, has received approvals today and will be deploying a drill rig this afternoon to one of the outlined work areas on DA-143.

The purpose of this endeavor is to verify that we have beach quality material within the Disposal Area and can rehabilitate and reuse this site by removing the dredged sand and placing the sand on the beach as the beach plan dictates.

This step is necessary for them to continue with the permitting aspect of the plan and future projects. They will be mobilizing and should be done by Saturday.
