The Board of Aldermen shall hold a special meeting on March 24, 2026 at 9:00am & March 27, 2026, at 9:00 A.M. for a 
budget workshop for the 2027-2028 Fiscal Year Budget

Department Head Meetings
February – March 6ᵗʰ

Meetings with Town Manager, Finance Director, and Department Head to review requested budget, to assess departmental needs and to review capital improvement requests.
Follow Up Meetings, as necessary.

Budget Workshops
March 24ᵗʰ, 9:00AM – 4:30PM

Each department will present their budget request to the Board. The Board will then review the 
draft document. Discussion of prioritization of needs versus available funds. Solicit innovative 
ideas or services they would like to include. Review of Capital Improvements.
*If workshop tasks are completed at the first meeting then no subsequent meetings will be required.

April 9ᵗʰ, 9:00AM – 4:30PM

Review updated draft budget documents.
*If workshop tasks are completed at the first meeting then no subsequent meetings will be required.

Public Hearing on Budget 
Wednesday, May 13, Board of Aldermen Regular Meeting

Per statute, the Board must hold a minimum of one public hearing on the budget. The public hearing 
will take place at the May Board of Aldermen Regular meeting.

Wednesday, June 3ʳᵈ, Board of Aldermen Regular Meeting

Budget to be adopted during the Board of Aldermen Regular meeting.
