Tropical Storm Helene

9/25/24 Update:

As of now our biggest risks are a tornado threat Friday and strong winds over the coastal waters. The forecast track has not changed and would keep the MOST significant impacts to our west. This will be a LARGE storm and we will experience at least some impacts in Eastern North Carolina.  As always continue to follow for updates. 

Previous Update:
This is our first briefing on newly named Tropical Storm Helene. While the current track would keep the MOST significant impacts to our west, this will be a LARGE storm and we may still experience at least some impacts in Eastern North Carolina.  In addition, with saturated soil and elevated water levels NOW, it wouldn't take much or much of a shift to cause larger issues for us.  As always continue to follow for updates.
