STATE OF EMERGENCY IN EFFECT FOR NTB

Please be advised that the Town of North Topsail Beach has declared a State of Emergency as a result of the approach of Hurricane Idalia. The Governor of the State of North Carolina has declared a state of emergency effective today and therefore the Mayor of North Topsail Beach has deemed it necessary to declare a state of emergency for today effective at 5:00pm. Town staff continue to monitor and prepare for this event. We encourage all residents to do the same. Be safe and stay informed.

Road Closure

Please be advised that signs have been posted at New River Inlet Road in front of The Reef at the intersection advising of high water and road closure. We ask that you refrain from driving in this area due to the high tide that caused roadway flooding in this area. The roadway remains open for residents and emergency personnel but ask all others to refrain from driving through this area. The drive on access is closed and will remain closed until further notice.
