Mobile Food Truck/Pushcart Permit Application

The information below provides information on how the Town of North Topsail Beach oversees food trucks and pushcarts. These uses are permitted and inspected by the Planning Department. In order to operate a food truck or pushcart business within the Town of North Topsail Beach, Town Code regulations must be met.

The Mobile Food Truck/Pushcart Plan Review Application must be submitted along with the plans and specifications for review. Incomplete applications will not be processed.

The intent of the application is to answer questions that are not provided on the plans regarding the operation of a Mobile Food Truck or Pushcart to provide the Town Manager with the operational procedures.

Application Requirements

• Complete Plan Review Application. Signatures must be original.
• Proof of liability insurance. $1,000,000 policy.
• Non-refundable fee: Mobile Food Truck $500; Pushcarts $75; Special Event $100 with additional Special Event application.
• Copy of Health Department Application and Permit.

To make a mobile food vendor or beach pushcart application, please follow these steps:

1. Log into: https://www.citizenserve.com/northtopsailbeach
2. Mouse over “Services” tab in the top bar
3. Click on "Planning and Zoning"
4. In the left-hand column, click on "Apply online"
5. Select "Mobile Food Truck/Pushcart" in the drop-down menu
6. Complete the application and click "submit"
